Take a UX approach to developing your Employee Value Proposition

Your employees are one of your organisations biggest assets. Recruiting top talent and having an engaged workforce is imperative in today’s environment. After all your people are what will make or break your business.

In today’s competitive talent landscape, it is the organisations with a clear and compelling Employee Value Proposition that will succeed. This coupled with an inclusive attraction strategy and a positive interview process will gain the edge in the war for talent.

“Clients do not come first. Employees come first. If you take care of your employees, they will take care of the clients.” – Richard Branson

An Employee Value Proposition (EVP) is a tool used to understand why people would work with you and continue to work with you. By taking a user led approach to EVP development you can uncover what it is about your organisation that will attract, keep and enhance good employees.  You need to look at the company through the eyes of prospective and former employees to really understand what’s important, from remuneration to flexibility and team culture to strong leadership.

Finding and keeping engaged employees is a daily challenge.  By taking a fresh approach to EVP you can ensure your organisation stands out when it comes to finding the skills you need.

There are many ways to attract great talent. Ensuring your organisation is aware of the necessary tools to recruit, retain and enhance the employee experience is one of them.
